The Autonomy Factor: Living in Communities

For the past two months I have been living as a part of a community called Duruxa in the north of Spain. For anyone who isn’t familiar with communal living let me break it down. Communities are groups of people, who often share a piece of land, working together to achieve some sort of goal. There are religious communities focused on making their faith stronger, eco-villages focused on living a low impact life, and even business communities which are a group of people who live and work together in an actual company producing goods for sale.
